The Midlands Air Ambulance has been one of our selected charities that we have supported since 2013, as one of our previous pupils required the use of this service on a regular basis. In 2014, the pupil had the idea that she would like to raise some funds through school for the Midlands Air Ambulance, so we held a summer barbecue and raised money to support the charity. In subsequent years, we have continued to support the Midlands Air Ambulance Charity and in February of this year we held our first 'Wear it Red Day' to show your love to the Midlands Air Ambulance and invited other schools in our local area to take part. In total 32 schools wore red and held various fund raising activities managing to raise a total of £6,124.35. This was an amazing amount and the charity were delighted.

For 2024 they are planning a much bigger event and have asked our school to support them to spread the 'Wear it Red Day' into the other authorities that the Midlands Air Ambulance cover. We will be holding our 'Wear it Red Day' on Friday 9th February 2024 and will be sharing with you our plans for that day closer to the time. On Wednesday of this week Charley Burke from the Midlands Air Ambulance came into school with a video crew and worked with Years 5 and 6 to video them cheering for their charity. They are going to use our school in their promotional material and have produced a short video clip to use at their base in Strensham and at their annual ball and throughout other media presentations.
