As we enter Class Two, we are in the final year of our Key Stage One learning. The skills we bring with us from Year 1, support our development through the engaging curriculum that provides a strong and clear structure for development in our key areas of learning. Our maths and literacy skills from this point are progressing positively and our knowledge of phonics is secure enabling a love of reading to be established. This is a really important area and to see our children flourish within this year as they become proficient in independent reading is a joy and will be the key to unlock learning as the children move into Key Stage Two.

Children in Class 2 build on their increased confidence in Year 1 and enjoy a variety of subjects including accessing our swimming curriculum. They persevere and build their resilience in an alternative environment which translates into more courageous learners in the classroom.
